Appetizers

The aperitifs are part of a full coarse meal and are served at the beginning to stimulate the appetite. Although these aperitifs or starters are delicious, one shouldn’t eat too much unless they are served as snacks, without salad, soup, main entree, and dessert. I remember, when I was a kid, I never got to the main entree, because I was stuffing myself with the aperitifs.

If you would like your appetizers to be even more savory, adding food ornaments to the plates is a good idea. The plates esthetic becomesĀ  more important with the festive occasions, when food decorations is a must. Not to mention the fun part of ornating the plates and showing off to your guests.

There are two kinds of appetizers: hot and cold. In general, I like more the cold aperitifs, which are lighter, even there are some hot starters that I enjoy tremendously. But the lats ones usually fill me up faster.
