Salads

Salad is a dish that could be served at any point during a meal. There is a large variety of salads including: vegetable salads; salads of pasta, legumes, eggs, or grains; mixed salads incorporating meat, poultry, or seafood; and fruit salads. They may include a mixture of cold and hot, often including raw vegetables or fruits.

Most of the salads featured on this site are served before the main course as an appetizer, as a side dish to the entree or as a main course on its own. The dressings are similar to the delicious, easy to make from scratch, and healthy salty vinegar and oil dressings originated in Roman times.
